Creating a Truly Comprehensive Daily Activity Report (DAR)

Creating a Truly Comprehensive Daily Activity Report (DAR)

Owners and managers are always seeking easy ways to record (and recover when necessary) important actions and observations performed by their security officers.

GuardChecker has continued enhance our proprietary Mobile App to collect all the data necessary to create a comprehensive DAR.

Background – In the beginning, GuardChecker, like all other guard tour monitoring systems, merely verified location checks and employee time and attendance. Even then, our first version of the DAR showed the employee’s name, the date and time, and GPS location where the activity took place.

Next we added a Message Pad (MP) to record other actions and observations that clients thought their employees might experience. (See our Message Pad video.)

While the MP added much more detail to the DAR, it still did not cover unstructured actives where specific details needed to be recorded.

Our latest Mobile App enhancement called Notes provides the capability to create a truly comprehensive Daily Activity Report.

Now using text or voice, the employee can easily record this additional detail. This addition will still include the employee’s name, D/T, and GPS. The collected data will be processed and flow directly into a digital DAR creating a permanent record of events. Further, this information may be easily searched and recovered using GuardChecker’s various search filters.

The following video further describes Notes with examples.
